Legacy on the Bay offers, 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments with spacious floorplans and closet spaces.
Do you offer furnished or short-term lease options?
The community does not offer furnished units but Legacy on the Bay does partner with Cort Furnishing, to offer a variety of furnishing options made specific to the community’s floorplan layouts. Leases available range from 7 to 15-month lease options.
Are pets welcome at the community, and what is your pet policy?
Pets are welcome with a limit of up to 2 pets per household with a max weight of 60 pounds.
How convenient is commuting from the community to major employers, schools, or downtown areas?

Amenities offered at Legacy on the Bay include, 24-hour fitness center, Clubhouse, business center, resort-style pool, large and small dog parks, playground and carwash.
What parking options are available, including garages, guest parking, or EV charging stations?
Garages, covered parking, RV and Boat Parking, Storage units.
Are there laundry facilities in the units or on-site?
In unit laundry and 2 community laundry facilities.
Are utilities included in the rent, and which services are residents responsible for?
Water is seperately metered but will be added to the monthly rent after billing. Residents are responsible to establisg and manage electrity for their apartment home with Florida Power and Light.
Do apartments include modern appliances, patios/balconies, or extra storage space?
Apartments include; modern appliance packages for the kitchen and side by side, in unit laundry. Patios are covered and screened and all 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes include patio storage closets.
What’s the neighborhood like, and what restaurants, parks, and shopping centers are nearby?

School buses for Destin High School, Destin Middle School, and Destin Elementary School pick up and drop off at the community and Northwest Florida State College is a 15 minute commute from the community.
What is the walkability and public transportation access around the community?
Emerald Coast Rider (E.C. Rider), the county’s bus service that runs fixed routes throughout Okaloosa County, including Destin but does not have a convenient stop located near Legacy on the Bay.
Are there local events, resident activities, or community gatherings available?
The annual Destin Sea Food Festival is just minutes a way from the community as well as the Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo. The community offers, community events to include, pool parties, Friday Night Light Pizza party's during the football season, food trucks and community blood drives.
Is there anything unique or special about your community that appeals to residents that you would like to highlight?
The community’s location offers a variety of day trip destinations that include, Pensacola, Florida, Panama City Beach, Florida, 30A , Eden Garden State Park and Apalachicola.
How can I apply for an apartment, and what documents or fees are required?
Applications are completed online using a device of your choosing, mobile and desktop options are available. Legacy has a $200 administrative fee per household and $75 application fee. All individuals over the age of 18 must apply and be screened before moving in.
What are the move-in costs, and is a security deposit required?
Move in costs include: deposit based of screening. Deposits start at $500 and may increase to include an additional 1 or 2 months’ rent if approved with conditions. The community all so offers deposit alternatives that allow for a financially conveniently way of bypassing a large lump sum deposit payment to a small, manageable monthly payments. Other move in costs include; $20 for package locker system, $15 new account utility fee, $4.65 utility admin fee and prorate valet-trash service at $30/month and $3.00 pest control service/month.
Is renters’ insurance mandatory, and what coverage is recommended?
Renter's insurance is required with a minimum limit of $300,000 for general liabity.
What happens if I need to move out early or break my lease?
The lease offers 2 choices of damage for lease break. Option 1, is a 2 month rent lease break fee charge. Option 2 states, you will continue to be charges reletting rent until someone else moves-into the apartment.
How do I submit maintenance requests, and how quickly are they typically resolved?
Maintenance request can be made through the mobile app, community website or by calling the leasing office. Non-emergency maintenance request are typically address within 24 business hours.
